How To Promote Your Business Online?

In a jewelry market that is saturated on the internet how do you stand apart from the rest of the crowd? Is it really that one artist's jewelry is that much better than yours or how they are marketing themself?

I sell on Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5525898 and as well on my own personal website http://www.firenfusion.com/ . My web traffic on both sites is very slow, so I have researched ways to promote my stores online and make them profitable.

Here are 8 things I am doing or currently looking into to market my sites:

1.) Started this blog...I must be getting some traffic, your here right?

2.) Joined http://www.myspace.com/ and set up an account. Myspace is a website set up to network with people. You can have a blog, chat, post pictures and more here.

3.) Joined http://www.indiepublic.com/ and set up an account. Again, this website is basically a place to network with people, blog and share pictures.

4.) Start an account on http://www.flickr.com/ :this is a place to just share pictures.

5.) Placed my links under: http://www.freecraftfair.com/link_exchange.html.

6.) Placed my URL's in my e-mail signature for all out going mail.

7.) Had business cards made at http://www.vistaprint.com/ - now I'm giving them away like crazy.

8.) I am currenting searching the Internet for cheap places to place banners and ads for both sites. Many of the sites I am in the middle of reviewing are free or of very little cost. I will provide you with a listing of URL's that I researched and proven worthy soon.

Over the course of the next few months, I'd like to keep you informed on my marketing and advertising stratagies what I found to be effective and what has failed. Keep checking back!

Until next time, be profitable!
